Shaakuntalam USA Collections: The beautiful and talented actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan starrer much hyped movie Shaakuntalam, was released on 14th April and received the mixed response by the movie lovers. According to the latest update is that the film Shaakuntalam collected $125K from the USA and the counting is still on. The collections includes the premiers as well. It is known that Icon Star Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha made her film debut with this film Shaakuntalam, which is helmed by Gunasekhar.
In Shaakuntalam, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is playing the titular role of Shakuntala, the daughter of Menaka and Viswamithra. The mythological drama marks Samantha Ruth Prabhu’ maiden collaboration with Gunasekhar. Apart from Samantha and Dev Mohan, the movie also has Mohan Babu, Jisshu Sengupta, Gautami, Madhoo, Sachin Khedekar, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, Kabir Duhan Singh, and Kabir Bedi in the important roles.
Samantha starrer is based on Kalidasa’s world-renowned piece ‘Abhijnanasakuntalam’ which is a love story between Shakuntala, the most beautiful woman in the world, and the mighty king of the Puru dynasty. The big budget drama is produced by Neelima Guna and it takes the movie lovers back to the mythological world created by the most celebrated writers across centuries.
