Telangana Chief Minister KCR created a record. He became the longest serving Telugu person as Chief Minister of the Telugu state. Chief Minister KCR, who won the first election after the emergence of the new state, took oath as the Chief Minister on June 2, 2014. He will complete his nine-year tenure as Chief Minister- CM on June 2. With that, before independence, he earned the distinction of being the person who served as the Chief Minister of Madras Presidency, United Madras State, Hyderabad State and United Andhra Pradesh for a long period of time without a break.

Among the Telugus who have served as chief ministers, the record for the longest tenure in the post is held by TDP chief leader Chandrababu Naidu.

In the joint Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu was the CM for a total of 13 years and 247 days in three phases. However, he was the chief minister for 8 years and 256 days. KCR is breaking Chandrababu Naidu’ record in this manner. Kasu Brahmananda Reddy and YS Rajasekhar Reddy continued in office for five years and 111 days as the Chief Ministers of the joint Andhra Pradesh.

On the otherside, the leaders from different political parties from Madhya Pradesh joined BRS Party on Tuesday in presence of KCR.
