Our Telugu heroes’ movies are getting mind boggling numbers at the US box office. Even if the movie gets a bit of hit talk, even in US, our Telugu people are all in theaters, as a result, Telugu movies are registering numbers from the US box office.
Only 4 Telugu films crossed million dollar landmark in first 4 months of this year.
1. Waltair Veerayya: $2.34 M
2. Dasara: $2.05 M
3. Virupaksha: $1.15 M & counting
4. Veera Simha Reddy: $1.11 M
Waltair Veerayya: Waltair Veerayya starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan directed by Bobby Kolli and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, was released on the occasion of Sankranthi this year and it earned $2.34 M at the USA box office in its full run. It was commercially successful at the box office becoming the highest grossing Telugu film of 2023.
Dasara: Natural star Nani and national award winning actress Keerthy Suresh starrer action drama Dasara earned $2.05 M from USA.
Virupaksha: Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha Menen starrer horror thriller drama Virupaksha, was released on 21st April and it is still running successfully at the box office.
Veera Simha Reddy: Balakrishna and Shruti Haasan starrer was also released on the eve of Sankranthi and it minted $1.11 M from USA.
